The Role
As a DBS & Referencing Administrator, you’ll play an important role in delivering our professional background screening services. You’ll work within our friendly operations team to ensure clients receive accurate, compliant, and timely screening results that meet the highest industry standards.
You’ll receive full training, support, and mentoring to help you excel — with real opportunities to progress quickly within CBS as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out general administration across background screening products and services.

Meet completion targets for all elements of the referencing process.

Maintain exemplary audit standards and accreditation compliance.

Manage and adhere to existing regulations, policies, and operational processes.

Support the Referencing Team in meeting performance and compliance targets.

Communicate effectively across departments and with customers.

Escalate issues or complaints to the Operations Manager where appropriate.

Engage proactively with training and professional development opportunities.

Contribute to a positive, team-oriented working environment.

Essential Criteria

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry or document handling

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Confident communicator, both written and verbal

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines

Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word)

Professional, confidential approach to handling sensitive information
Desirable Criteria

Previous experience in administration, compliance, or background screening

Knowledge of DBS processes, eligibility criteria, or safeguarding checks

Understanding of GDPR and data protection in a workplace setting

Willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly
