Head of Engineering

IntaPeople are pleased to be working with a local team, as they're on the search for a hands-on, forward-thinking Head of Engineering to lead the charge in mechanical design, product development, and project delivery.

The Role
Working onsite 5 days a week in Bridgend (candidate needs to be local to South Wales), you’ll be the go-to person for all things engineering – reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with the company’s directors.

Responsibilities of the position

• Leading mechanical design and development across a wide range of projects
• Overseeing manufacturing and production functions, ensuring operational excellence
• Owning the entire engineering lifecycle from concept through to delivery
• Managing and executing cross-functional engineering projects
• Defining company requirements and contributing to high-level business strategy
• Driving continuous improvement across design, manufacturing processes, and products
• Acting as a key technical leader across the business

What we’re looking for

• Strong background in mechanical engineering/design - 10+ years experience
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and leading complex projects
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and production environments
• Confident working closely with C-suite leaders and influencing business decisions
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on, solution-focused approach
