How it works…

Phase 1 – Immersion and research

Our initial goal is to immerse ourselves into your business by gaining a thorough understanding of all aspects of the company, including the team dynamics, working style and product roadmap.

We meet all relevant stakeholders to discuss the requirements in detail, witnessing ‘first-hand’ the management style and corporate culture, which is essential to understand what makes someone successful at your company.

Following on from our initial discussions we develop a customised brief for each role, alongside an ‘ideal candidate’ specification.

Running in parallel, we create a thorough competitor map enabling us to understand the motivations of potential target candidates and how your employer brand sits within the wider market.

Phase 2 – Employer branding

Research suggests employee turnover can be reduced by 28% by investing in employer brand and it can also reduce your cost per hire by up to 50%. With this in mind, we conduct a comprehensive employer brand audit report to see how you are viewed in the market by potential hires, making appropriate suggestions for improvement to complement your existing recruitment and employer branding strategy.

Phase 3 – Candidate development

Our overriding goal is to identify the best potential candidate for your business. Through our competitor mapping and targeted research, we identify potential candidates with the relevant skill set, experience and qualifications for your business needs, and create a tailored marketing strategy to successfully approach these candidates.

We use an enhanced candidate referral strategy and actively maximise our extensive network of connections to reach out to the wider market ensuring every person/avenue is reviewed.

Phase 4 – Meet and greet. Qualifying and evaluating candidates

We employ a comprehensive and meticulous vetting process that sets us apart as a specialist agency and ensures candidates are highly qualified for your role.

First, we qualify prospective candidates via video conferencing methods to explore their motivations and understand why they might consider a move to a new challenge. We also conduct rigorous competency-based and technical interviews, and psychometric tests (if applicable). From here we create a candidate ‘long-list’.

Next, we work closely with you to review the long-list and create a shortlist of 3-4 of the most potentially suitable executives. This is accompanied by a detailed report including candidate CVs, initial interview and meeting notes, analysis and any testing conducted.

For all short-listed candidates, we carry out extensive pre-employment checks including references, identification and credit checks.

Phase 5 – Client/candidate interviews

We work with you to design a robust and consistent interview strategy enabling you to effectively assess the shortlisted candidates. It’s important senior candidates meet all relevant team members including board members and stakeholders as necessary, to ensure they are the right ‘fit’.

We are mindful of protecting your reputation with prospective candidates and always let them know if they have been unsuccessful at interview request stage or prior to interview, offering any constructive feedback we can. This is very important to us.

Phase 6 – Offer and acceptance management

It’s crucial to the desired outcomes for all parties that this stage is managed efficiently and effectively. Your IntaPeople account manager will be the mediator, ensuring negotiations are smooth and ultimately successful for your business and the candidate. In addition, we’ll aim to protect against the risk of a successful counteroffer, or a competing offer. You will be well informed about the status of negotiations, the offer and the acceptance through frequent communication.

Phase 7 – Relocation

When applicable, we will provide all successful candidates with relocation support, including creating and supplying a detailed relocation pack which contains information on the local property market, local property rental agents, transport links, schools, nurseries and other local amenities.

Phase 8 – Onboarding and aftercare service

Senior-level executives have a significant impact on an organisation, therefore making the right executive appointment is critical. Our role is not over once an offer is accepted; we will continue to work in partnership with you in the weeks and months following their start date as part of our aftercare service.
